Last week it was time again for the Küchenmeile 2022. Every year a party for professionals from the kitchen industry. A fair for and by people from the kitchen world, where all the novelties for the new year are shown.
Show your colours
The trend of using natural materials will continue next year. More and more kitchens are equipped with a stone worktop, or a laminated worktop with a stone-like look. We also saw the use of wood in abundance at the fair this year. Where in recent years it concerned the dark types of wood (such as walnut), next year we will see more and more light types of wood (such as oak).
The colour palette for the fronts is enormous for each manufacturer. However, the colours newly added this year are mostly the same. Almost all manufacturers add earth-tone fronts to their range and emphasise the use of natural materials and colours.
Living room inspiration
Where manufacturers have increasingly shown different utility room layouts in recent years, this trend is continuing with living room layouts. Given the fact that the kitchen is increasingly an open living space, and is therefore connected to the living room, the use of the same materials is sometimes even a must. Last week, kitchen manufacturers were happy to show what they have to offer for furnishing the living room.
